Prince Edward Island offers a wide range of quality accommodation, from conventional hotels to lodges and family farms. Most of the towns have excellent hotels and one is never far from the sea. Standards for Bed & Breakfast and Country Inn accommodation are overseen by the Bed & Breakfast and Country Inns Association. Owners of accommodation in Prince Edward Island are invited to participate in the Canada Select Rating Program. Participation in the grading system is voluntary. The star ratings are based on the extent of facilities, quality of facilities, extent of services and amenities, ranging from 5-star (exceptional) to 1-star (basic). There are over 65 travel parks for camping near sandy beaches or in the interior. Camping fees vary, depending on the facilities offered. Most private sites accept reservations. A number of companies can arrange motor camper rentals, with a range of fully-equipped vehicles. Full details can be obtained from Prince Edward Island Tourism (see Top Things To Do).
